Hot Rods
for Hospice
Fundraising
Event
TEMPLE,TX—
On Saturday October 1st,
Harper-Talasek Funeral Homes
spon-
sored the second annual Hot Rods for
Hospice. This out of the box fundrais-
ing event pulled together vendors, food
trucks, car enthusiasts and this central
Texas region community. In addition to
a variety of cars, trucks and motorcycles,
the event included live music performanc-
es, a silent auction and raffle. Last year
the event raised $1200.00. The staff was
honored this year to present a check in
the amount of $2500.00 benefiting Scott
& White Hospice of Temple. Recognized
for the honorable work they do, Scott
& White, one of many local hospices, is
a non-profit group. The need for assis-
tance for the local hospice has grown and
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home is looking
to broaden the fundraiser to benefit oth-
er hospice groups through this and other
events being planned.
