Regina Mukiibi-Mugongo, the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Uganda Funeral Services, Ltd., has made it a family affair by having her children assist her in day to day operations. All were educated in the United States and each brings special talents, gifts and their own professional style to a progressive and successful business. While her daughter was attending New England Institute, Program Director Jacquie Taylor was a great mentor and role model. They are eternally grateful for the learning experience she received that has guided her to understand funeral service and its professional standards.

Regina has been a member of the National Funeral Directors Association for many years and attends its International Conventions. It was at one of their conventions that the 100 Black Women of Funeral Service organization met her. She enlisted their help to find used embalming and funeral equipment for use in Uganda. She wanted her staff to know how to embalm and create that memory picture. She was on a mission to be the best she could be in providing professional and much needed services for her people in Uganda.

She not only serves the Ugandans but also provides services for Americans, Indians, Danish, Sudanese, Czechs, Congolese, Tanzanians, and Kenyans to name a few. The funeral home has its head offices in Bukoto with branches in Maska, Mbarara, and Fort Portal.

Both Regina and Uganda Funeral Services has garnered many awards since its inception including the 2013 100BWFS International Award of Excellence, 2013 Phenomenal Women Award presented during the recent NFDA Convention in Austin, TX, Business Achiever of the Year Award, UIA Investor of the Year Award-Senior Division and various other local and community service recognitions. She is also a member of the world organization of Funeral Operatives in the Netherlands. She is committed to her vision and mission to become the leader in her country with professionalization and modernization of funeral service management. She wants to be known as the go-to person in funeral service management providing quality and compassionate service for all classes of people.
