Urnporium Offers
Superior Urns at Low
Prices
The Abode™ Brass Cremation Urn
ATHENS,GA—
Urnporium
is an innovative new company
founded by
Charles Langlois
that offers high quality urns
made from durable materials that can stand the test of time
but also honor a loved one.The marble urns come fromSouth
Asia where many beautiful marble quarries exist. Their crafts-
men are some of the best in the world and the urns are beauti-
fully crafted by hand. The brass urns are also from South Asia
and like the marble urns they are made by hand. The Mahog-
any Wood Urn was introduced in September. They are pro-
duced in South East Asia out of sustainably grown mahogany
wood. The urns are made from furniture grade mahogany at
a furniture factory.
“We are a small family business with low overhead and are
able to design and distribute our products very cost effective-
ly,” said Langlois. “We hope funeral homes take advantage of
this opportunity to offer their families high quality urns at
reasonable prices.”

Wilbert–Pierce Congratulates John Firestone for
Fifty Years of Dedicated Service
John Firestone
BROADVIEW,IL—
Wilbert
Funeral Services’ Pierce
Chemical
group congratu-
lates
John Firestone,
long-
time president, chairman
and CEO of the
Pierce
Companies,
on his 50th an-
niversary with the company.
John has even more than
fifty years in the funeral in-
dustry, working as a child
to help his grandfather put
temporary grave mark-
er nameplates together for
a penny-per-piece to make
some spending money. John
continued working in the in-
dustry throughout his high
school summers (presum-
ably making a little bit more
money).
John began his career with
Pierce Chemical in July of
1963 upon receiving a call
from his uncle and compa-
ny founder
Bill Pierce
the
same day he was discharged
from the Marine Reserves
in which he’d enlisted af-
ter college, asking John to
come work full-time. Three
days later, John had packed
his belongings, drove from
Dallas to Atlanta, and be-
gan his full-time career with
Pierce. John worked in ev-
ery department over his his-
tory with the company, from
blending products to the
shipping room to doing the
books. John earned his place
as chairman through many
years of hard and dedicated
work, helping guide the suc-
cess of Pierce through prod-
uct expansion and market
growth.
John also taught at the
Pierce Mortuary Colleges,
lat-
er serving as chairman and
CEO and helping shape the
curriculum to address the
evolving needs of the funeral
professional.
“John is truly an industry
leader who has earned the re-
spect of both Pierce employ-
ees as well as industry col-
leagues for his insight and
effective leadership,” said
Joseph Suhor,
Chairman
of the Board, Wilbert Fu-
neral Services. “I have had
the pleasure to know John
for many years and con-
sider him among the best
in the industry as well as
a friend. Our sincere con-
gratulations and thanks go
out to John for his
service
to Pierce and the indus-
try.”

Heaven’s Gain Introduces New Infant Removal Bag
The Infant Removal Bag
CINCINNATI,OH—
Heaven’s Gain,
providers of small infant
caskets and burial products for families suffering the loss of a
child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, has in-
troduced a removal bag. This discreet bag allows for trans-
port of the remains of a baby from the hospital to the funeral
home. Resembling an overnight bag for the hospital, no lon-
ger will some unknowing bystander be tempted to say, “Can
I see the baby?”
The choices of canvas exterior include sky blue, hunter
green and burgundy. The interior of the bag is lined with Pro-
Tec nylon that is fluid and bacterial resistant. A removable
polystyrene ribbed tray is included for easy cleaning. The bag
dimensions are 24” in length and 13” width.
In 1988,
President Ronald Reagan
proclaimed October Na-
tional Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. Heaven’s
Gain home based ministry works with funeral homes to help
families experiencing pregnancy loss, promoting the dignity
of the child while giving the family some solace and closure.
