options for those families who must select an oversize
casket. Once a room is created, a funeral director can
add and remove product from that room, assign their
own pricing, as well as modify display options. Mod-
ifying display options allows the funeral home to ap-
ply the same merchandising principles that it uses in
a physical selection room environment to the online
environment.

iArrange™ has an incredibly robust inter-
active viewing tool in order to display the caskets to a
family.
The Product Finder allows the funeral director to
sort and filter in an e-commerce style environment by
many attributes important to families.
360
°
views display the caskets at all angles to give
the family a true picture of what the casket looks like.
Powerful zoom functionality allows funeral direc-
tors to display all details of the casket including head
panel embroideries, hardware details, paint schemes,
etc.
Closed casket view allows the family to see what the
casket looks like while closed perhaps in church or at
the cemetery.
Pop-In Embroidered Panels display what a particu-
lar embroidered panel looks like in the particular cas-
ket’s paint color and interior color.
“At Thacker, we do not believe any one method of
displaying caskets to be better than the next. Each
method has its own advantages and it depends on a
variety of factors to determine which method is right
for your funeral home. As a casket supplier it is our
job that no matter how you display your casket selec-
tion, your display method is professional,” says presi-
dent and CEO,
CJ Thacker.
Danielle adds, “iArrange™ is versatile in that it
can be used as a supplement to your current display
room. We have created a very exciting display system
in which a flat screen is mounted to slat wall and con-
nected wirelessly to an iPad via AppleTV. This allows
the funeral home the ability to supplement their cur-
rent full/cut room display with the online piece.”
Thacker Caskets, Inc. was founded in 1939 and
has grown to become the largest family owned casket
supplier in the United States and 4th largest overall
casket supplier. For more information, contact Dan-

Strassacker Bronze Introduces Unique
Floating Script at Industry Show in
Nuremberg, Germany
C I N C I N N A T I , O H —
Strassacker Bronze
re-
cently released a floating
script line of lettering,
one of more than 20 new
styles from the German
bronze foundry specializ-
ing in handcrafted Euro-
pean styling.
The water-cut lettering,
cut from strips of bronze
or stainless steel, appears
to float on the monu-
ment and when the sun
filters through the let-
tering, the name reflects
on the stone. The letter-
ings are created in a sin-
gle unit for ease of instal-
lation by the monument
manufacturer. “We have
gotten much positive
feedback about this float-
ing script from the mon-
ument industry and the
families they serve,” said
JoAnn Scharf
, Strassack-
er’s manager of sales and
development in North
America. “It is an ex-
ample of how our com-
pany continuously cre-
ates artistic designs that
bring individuality to
each gravesite while nev-
er overlooking the prac-
tical element of installa-
tion.”
Although bronze cast-
ing is a 4,000-year-old
process,
Strassacker‘s
craftsmen
continually
seek innovative ways to
satisfy the preference and
style of the next genera-
tion. The company has
a broad range of designs
that speak to all needs
and budgets. “We can do
something as simple as
adding a bronze butter-
fly to a stone or as complex as life-sized
statuary,” notes Scharf. “Our hand-
crafted works of art are chosen by fam-
ilies who want to respect and memo-
rialize their loved ones, not just bury
them.” The floating script style is copy-
righted by the Strassacker Bronze Art
Foundry.
Strassacker Bronze, founded in Ger-
many in 1919, is operated by the fam-
ily’s fourth generation. Information is
available in North America at 800-531-
9214, 859-534-5218 or joann.scharf@
