Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 an- nual convention of the Kentucky Funeral Direc- tors had to be cancelled and Marty was thus sworn in via a Zoom meeting on Friday, June 5, 2020. The ceremony took place at his family’s funeral home in Morgantown sur- rounded by friends and family, followed by a deli- cious catfish lunch. This was truly an histor- ic moment as Marty was the first president of the association to be sworn in on social media in the as- sociation’s 138 years. Will Muster of the Muster Funeral Home in Calhoun, KY and a past president of the as- sociation was in charge of the swearing in. In- cluded in the ceremony was immediate past pres- ident Rob Riley from Carrollton, KY. Marty joined the Fu- neral Directors Associa- tion of Kentucky in June of 2012 as a director of the Southern District Fu- neral Directors. He has since moved up the asso- ciation chairs to now as- sume the office of presi- dent for the 2020-2021 association year. The Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky would like to congratulate Marty and wishes him a successful year as president. L i ke Us On Facebook !
