ANDERSON of Bloomington, MN died April 28, 2018 at the age of 81. He was a licensed funeral director for over 50 years and the sec- ond-generation owner of Hen- ry W. Anderson Mortuary in Minneapolis and Apple Valley, taking over in 1967 after the death of his father, Henry W. Anderson. JAMES NELSON BLOWER of Athens, OH died April 28, 2018 at the age of 77. He began and ended his ca- reer as a funeral director in Columbus working for the Rutherford Funeral Home. He had owned and oper- ated the James N. Blower Funeral Home in McArthur and Wellston, Hughes-Blower Funeral Home in Ath- ens, Rawlings-Coats-Blower Funeral Home in Middle- port, and the White-Blower Funeral Home in Coolville and Belpre. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mor- tuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Ohio Funeral Directors Asso- ciation, where he served as president in 1987. NICHOLAS J. BAMMERT of Satellite Beach, FL died Feb- ruary 26, 2018 at the age of 61. He worked for Beckman Williamson Funeral Home for over 20 years. ROBERT “BOB” P. HEITGER SR of Massillon, OH died April 14, 2018 at the age of 98. A licensed funeral direc- tor and embalmer for over 70 years, he was a third generation owner of the family business, Heitger Funeral Home, where he served as the patriarch un- til retiring in 1988. He gradu- ated from the Cleveland School of Embalming in 1947. HERBERT KAUFMAN of South- field, MI died April 11, 2018 at the age of 94. He was a long- time funeral director and own- er of the Ira Kaufman Chapel, which was established by his father, Ira Kaufman in 1941. He took over the reins in the 1950s and was to be honored by the Michigan Funeral Direc- tors Association for 60 years in the business. MARSHALL HENRY PARKS SR of Greenwood, SC died April 30, 2018 at the age of 86. A licensed funeral director and embalmer, he worked with his father, James Lloyd Parks in operating the family funeral home, Parks Funeral Home. He graduated from the Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta. OLIVE SHULER WILLIAMS of Elloree, SC died March 10, 2018 at the age of 93. A li- censed funeral director since 1976, she owned and operat- ed Williams Funeral Home. She served as manager of the firm after her late hus- band, Robert Lee Williams, II became disabled. She re- linquished the management role to her son, Dr. Robert L. Williams III and re- tired after more than 30 years of service. WILLIAM G. MCNEELAN JR of Holton, IN died April 23, 2018 at the age of 94. He was a funeral director in the Holton and Versailles area for 60 years beginning in partnership with Ern Duke at Holton in 1952. In 1957 he along with Clif- ford Smith formed the Mc- Neelan & Smith Funer- al Home. In 1980 he joined the Bovard Funeral Home in Versailles and in 2002 he worked with the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles un- til his retirement in 2012. He graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1948.
