Angie Ray will assume the role of vice president in Glendale, Nickol Ladd will assume the role of vice president in Cypress, and Shivon Ozinga were pro- moted to vice president in Long Beach, ef- fective March 18, 2019. The three internal promotions represent the caliber of strong leadership present across Forest Lawn’s six Southern California locations. Ray has been with Forest Lawn since 2014 and has served as vice president of the Glen- dale, Cypress, and Long Beach parks. She has worked in the end-of-life profession for 32 years. Before joining Forest Lawn, she worked with Dignity Memorial from 2012 to 2014 as the sales manager for Westmin- ster Memorial Park, where she was award- ed Century Club for North America and Sales Manager of the Year for California. Ray began her career with Matthews Inter- national, where she spent 25 years working in almost every aspect of the foundry’s op- erations, concluding as regional sales man- ager, and was awarded Sales Person of the Year seven years in a row. She has served as a board member on the Cypress Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club of Cypress and is an active supporter of the Cypress Community through her work with the Cypress Police Foundation, Women’s Club of Cypress, Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce, and the Every 15 Minutes pro- grams for Cypress and Los Alamitos. Ray has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business from University of Phoenix and is a Califor- nia licensed funeral director, cemetery man- ager, and crematory manager. Ray resides with her husband of 27 years Erik and her labradoodle Grace. Since 2015, Ladd has served as vice presi- dent at Forest Lawn in Long Beach. Ladd has worked in the funeral profession since 2001, and in 2006, she helped establish the new  Skylawn Funeral Home and Memo- rial Park in the Bay Area, where she was lat- er awarded the California Funeral Director Association (CFDA) Young Funeral Direc- tor of the Year award. An active board mem- ber with United States Vets, United Cam- bodian Community, and the NAACP Long Beach Chapter, Ladd passionately supports many organizations in the Long Beach com- munity including the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Long Beach Homeless Coalition, The Long Beach Police Founda- tion, The South Coast Interfaith Council, the Every 15 Minutes Program, and many veterans groups.
