Page A26 September 2024 THOMAS H. “MR. R” ROUTSONG of Oakwood, OH died July 12, 2024 at the age of 96. He joined his father, Carl T. Routsong in the family business, Routsong Funeral Home in 1951, having served the Dayton area for over 50 years. Mr. R was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. cal Center in Cleveland at the time of her death. A 1999 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Liquzinski was presented with the Ohio Embalmers Association’s Lester W. Wakeman Award for excellence in the combined theory and practice of embalming. She also served as a longtime member, past president and advisory board member of the Embalmers Association of Cleveland. RACHEL E. LIQUZINSKI of Lagrange, OH died July 23, 2024 at the age of 46. A licensed funeral director and embalmer for twenty-three years, she served as the Technical Supervisor of Mortality and Autopsy Services at MetroHealth MediFuneral Home and Starbuck Funeral Home. Decker became the managing funeral director in 2013 and in 2019, he accepted the position of regional operations director for Vertin Company, the parent company of Pedersen and Starbuck Funeral Homes. Decker attended Mayville State University to receive his pre-mortuary education prior to graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1996. SHANE DECKER of Morris, MN died August 9, 2024 at the age of 50. He began his career in funeral service at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Oakes, ND. In 2009, Decker began working as a regional sales representative for Deaton-Kennedy to provide various supplies to funeral homes in a tri-state region. In 2010, he moved to Morris, MN to work for Pedersen the owner. He resigned from BozeMitchell in 1993 and had briefly worked for a funeral home in Fort Worth. Wayne started Boze Memorial Inc dba Wayne Boze Funeral Home in February 1997 and acquired the Red Oak Funeral Home in 2004. A 1990 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, he was a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association. DONALD WAYNE BOZE of Henderson, TX died August 17, 2024 at the age of 73. A funeral director and embalmer, he assisted his father, Patrick Wayne Boze at Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home as an ambulance driver and funeral attendant.
