He was a third-generation funeral director at Feerick Funeral Home. THOMAS E. KRAEMER of Marco Island, FL, formerly of Marathon City and Wausau, WI died November 29, 2022 at the age of 90. He had served the Wausau, Marathon City, Edgar and Athens area as a funeral director for many years, retiring in 1999, when the business was purchased by the Peterson Funeral Home. PAUL J. “PJ” LAMIELL, JR of Canton, OH died November 11, 2022 at the age of 61. A licensed Ohio funeral director and embalmer, he joined his father in the family business, Lamiell Funeral Home in 1983. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Lamiell Jr was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. BRIAN L. LEE of Norton Shores, MI died November 24, 2022 at the age of 70. He was a licensed funeral director for his family’s firm, Lee Funeral Home in Muskegon Heights for many years. Lee later merged with Systema Funeral & Cremation Service, retiring in 2015. LARRY A. “PETE” PETERSON of Astoria, OR died November 8, 2022 at the age of 77. He worked as a funeral director for over 40 years with Hughes Ransom Mortuaries, eventually owning the Astoria and Seaside location, before illness forced retirement. Peterson was a member of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association. RICHARD E. PHILLIPS of Cincinnati, OH died November 16, 2022 at the age of 83. A retired funeral director, he began working for his uncle inTiffin, OH before joining the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, where he worked for forty-one years. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. AMON REED of Knoxville, TN died December 3, 2022 at the age of 76. He was a licensed funeral director for Farrar Funeral Home until his health failed. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors of Association. WILLIAM H. “BILL” SHIELDS of Findlay, OH died December 2, 2022 at the age of 75. He joined his father, Joseph W. Shields at the Shields Funeral Home in 1968 as a funeral director. Bill purchased it in 1984 and continued to own and operate the business until selling it in 2005. He continued to work at the Clark Funeral Home until 2011, when he retired after serving 43 years in the industry. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. RONALD E. “RON” TROYER of Hudson, WI died November 21, 2022 at the age of 76. He was a funeral director, he and his late wife, Ruth owned and operated the Spacht Funeral Home, which was established by his father in 1919. A graduate of the Eckels College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National and State Funeral Directors Association and was past president of the Lancaster County Funeral Directors Association. R. WILLIAM “BILL” SPACHT of Lititz, PA died November 30, 2022 at the age of 95. A retired funeral age of 94. Angie was the wife of Church & Chapel Metal Arts past president Joe Taddeo, mother of the current president Frank Taddeo, and grandmother of marketing manager Nick Taddeo. Angie was involved in the family business during various parts of her life and was also socially active within trade organizations in this industry. ANGELINA “ANGIE” TADDEO of Naples, FL, formerly of Hinsdale, IL died November 30, 2022 at the funeral director, he was the former owner of the Allen Funeral Home in Bridgeport for thirty-eight years. Allen sold the business in 1999. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he served as the executive secretary of the West Virginia Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors for several years. ROBERT “BOB” VERNON ALLEN of Bridgeport, WV died November 19, 2022 at the age of 86. A retired signed and built the current funeral chapel in Lorain with his father-in-law, Joseph DiSimone. He continued serving families in the community until 1998 when he sold the business to his employees and then continued to work as a consultant until fully retiring in 2000. John graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. JOHN J. GLUVNA of Lorain, OH died November 18, 2022 at the age of 83. A Ohio licensed funeral director and embalmer, he joined the family business becoming the third generation that was begun by his grandfather, John J. Gluvna in 1912. John worked alongside his father, Joseph J.
