Founded in 1992, the museum now encompasses over 30,500 square feet of exhibit space and houses 17 permanent exhibits that include Historical Hearses, Presidential Funerals, Celebrating the Lives and Deaths of the Popes, The History of Cremation, History of Embalming, 19th Century Mourning, Coffins and Caskets of the Past, Jazz Funerals of New Orleans and more. The development of new exhibits is always ongoing and two more permanent exhibits will be added to the collection for visitors to explore in 2023, so stay tuned.
