They are the first women in the state of Tennessee to establish, own and operate a funeral home. Born and raised in Dallas, Taylor received her funeral service technology degree from Northwest Mississippi Valley State Community College. She has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Tennessee for twelve years, and Mississippi for over six years. A native of Memphis, Lyles is a graduate of The University of Memphis and Northwest Mississippi Community College. She has been a licensed mortician in the states of Arkansas and Tennessee for over 13 years and is affectionately known throughout the Mid-South as Mel the Mortician. Lyles enjoys embalming, directing funerals and promoting the movement of positive, edge cutting people and activities. These women stand out!
