Mike Carter Receives
OFDA’s Highest Honor

Mike Carter,
president of
Lynch
Supply & Heartland Casket Company, Inc.
has re-
cently been honored by the
Oklahoma Funeral Direc-
tors Association
executive board, board of governors
and past presidents.
Carter is the recipient of the “OFDA Stewardship
Award,” the association’s highest honor. The award is
presented for recognition and acknowledgement for
professionalism, compassion and devotion to the fu-
neral directors and funeral establishments of Oklaho-
ma.

presentation at the recent OFDA convention held at
Hard Rock Hotel and Convention Center in Tulsa,
OK.
“I was caught completely by surprise. My wife Cathy
and daughter, Megan, were sworn to secrecy by my
friends at the OFDA and

executive direc-
tor. I couldn’t hold back the tears. To be recognized
like this was simply beyond words,” says Carter.
Carter has been serving funeral and cemetery pro-
fessionals for over 34 years. Carter is a former board
member of the
CFSAA
, served 2 terms as president of
the
Oklahoma Funeral Supply Sales Club
, a past presi-
dent and board member of the
Kansas Funeral Sup-
ply Sales Club
and has served for a number of years
as secretary/treasurer of the
Oklahoma Funeral Sup-
ply Sales Club.

work even more meaningful,” says Carter. “I love
what I do and funeral professionals have always been
my best friends.”
