FSI Launches Tablet Application to
Enhance Security and Efficiency of
Trust-Funded Preneed Contract Sales
NFDA
CONVENTION
PREVIEW
TALLAHASSEE,FL—
Funeral Services,
Inc.
(FSI), a preneed administration and
contract record-keeper that has provided
trust solutions to the death care industry,
announced the development of an iPad
application that streamlines the preneed
contract sales process. The new app gen-
erates error-free, professional and com-
pliant contracts for trust funded preneed
programs. From anywhere, funeral direc-
tors and preneed sales agents may upload
contracts directly into PRISM, FSI’s pro-
prietary record-keeping system.
“We understand that preneed contract
sales can be a complicated and cumber-
some process,” said
Bill Williams,
presi-
dent and CEO of FSI. “One of our goals
is to provide our clients with solutions to
trust administration challenges so that fu-
neral directors and preneed sales agents
can better serve families as they make ar-
rangements, many of whom are purchas-
ing a preneed contract to avoid placing
the emotional and economic burden of a
funeral on their loved ones.”
While all FSI preneed funeral contracts
are FTC compliant and contain a stan-
dardized Statement of Funeral Goods and
Services, contracts may be customized to
meet client needs including payment and
preneed contract-related terms and condi-
tions, and to state specific disclosures.
“As a consultant in this industry, I have
seen many funeral homes become over-
whelmed with the amount of paperwork
and the processes required for compli-
ance with federal and state regulations,”
said
Jim Atwood,
primary consultant and
CEO at
Infinity Management Advisors,
LLC
and member of the FSI board of di-
rectors. “Through this app and other in-
novative software, FSI helps its clients
save time and money while being certain
their funds and information are safe.”
By uploading preneed contracts into
PRISM, clients achieve faster web-based
access to information about their preneed
program clients so they can better manage
this aspect of their business. PRISM pro-
vides online access to each client’s trust ac-
counts, individual preneed contracts, trust
transactions and monthly statements.
FSI’s administration system is available for
any type of contract including FSI’s spe-
cific preneed contracts or those that are
customized to meet the needs of a client.
FSI will unveil the app at the
2013 Na-
tional Funeral Directors Association
Con-
vention and Expo taking place in Austin,
Texas October 20-23, 2013. To see how
this app streamlines the preneed contract
sales process, visit FSI at booth 2141 for
a demonstration. Also at booth 2141, at-
tendees can enter to win one of five prizes
including an iPad.

JONESBORO,AR—

ager™
and other manage-
ment systems announced
its 13th year of inclusion in
Software Magazine’s Soft-
ware 500 ranking of the
world’s largest software and
service providers.
“The 2013 Software 500
results show that employ-
ment in the software and
service industry was very
healthy, increasing 9.5 per-
cent to total Software 500
company employment of
4,924,121,” says
John P.
Desmond
, editor,
Software
Magazine
. “At the same
time, overall revenue was up
four percent from last year to
$672.9 billion,” he adds.
“The Software 500 helps
CIOs, senior IT managers,
and IT staff research and cre-
ate the short list of business
partners,” Desmond says. “It
is a quick reference of ven-
dor viability. And the online
version, to be posted soon at
www.softwaremag.com, is
searchable by category, mak-
ing it what we call the online
catalog to enterprise soft-
ware.”
Wes Johnson
, President
of Continental Comput-
er, states “We are thrilled to
once again be included in
such a prestigious ranking. I
am very proud of our staff.
To be so few and accomplish
so much is a true reflection
of our commitment.”
The Software 500 is a rev-
enue-based ranking of the
world’s largest software and
services suppliers, targeting
medium to large enterprises,
their IT professionals, soft-
ware developers, and busi-
ness managers involved in
software and services pur-
chasing.
Johnson is asking all vis-
itors to come visit booth
#1844 at the NFDA Con-
vention in Austin where they
can show everyone why they
are recognized on the same
list as Microsoft, IBM and
other technically innovative
companies.
The ranking is based on to-
tal worldwide software and
services revenue for 2012.
“This includes revenue from
software licenses, mainte-
nance and support, training,
and software-related servic-
es, and consulting. Suppliers
are not ranked on total cor-
porate revenue, since many
have other lines of busi-
ness, such as hardware. Fi-
nancial information is gath-
ered by a survey prepared
by Rockport Custom Pub-
lishing, LLC. Using pub-
lic documents and compa-
ny input. It is published in
print as well as posted online

as both a digital edition and
searchable database.
