Dinair founder, Dina Ousley, says, “Orders kept coming in and my instinct was that people, companies and funeral directors needed and wanted our products. Thousands of people a day were passing away.” Dina answered calls from funeral direc- tors bombarded with deceased human be- ings. She wondered, how are they going to handle our deceased, their families, and themselves from this new plague called COVID-19? Families needed to see and say goodbye to their loved ones to have clo- sure. Feeling that Dinair was an essential part of that process, Dina felt connected, driven and passionate about taking these calls. “I was willing to go to work and pull, pack and ship orders every day. I felt it was my duty to do my part to help these fu- neral directors and families. I felt very con- nected to my company once again, hands- on felt like when we had started Dinair in our garage many years ago.” Dinair, the original airbrush makeup, revolutionized the cosmetics industry. Matt Smith, talented funeral director and educator, as well as, Mortuary Man- agement Magazine publisher Ron Hast, whom I miss dearly,” says Dina. “I called the Mortuary Science Depart- ment at Cypress College one day out of the blue. Byron Stout answered. I preceded to tell him about Dinair. He listened. He heard me and he never stopped believ- ing. He raised money to buy Dinair prod- ucts for the department and I would do demos for the students. We shot the how- to video at Cypress College in their prep room. We airbrushed Byron green to sim- ulate him being my jaundice case in the training video,” reflects Dina. “Thank you to all who have helped me achieve my dream. It takes a village as they say. I say Dinair has gone full circle. I am proud we have made it through the worst part of COVID. If I could make a wish that would come true, to bring all your loved ones back, that is what I would wish for. I just wanted you to all know that.
