NFDA Announces Health Insurance Options Program for Members BROOKFIELD,WI— Members of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) have a new, exclusive option for health insurance coverage. NFDA Health Insurance Options offers savings only for NFDA mem- bers while addressing the health and wellness needs of employees. For employers, finding a health insurance plan for employees that offers good coverage, is affordable and complies with the Affordable Care Act can be excep- tionally challenging. The task is particularly tough for small employers. Through NFDA Health Insurance Options, employ- ers of any size can work with a dedicated customer ser- vice representative to explore alternatives to coverage they may currently offer to employees. With options for small groups, members could experience exclusive annual pre- mium savings of five to 15 percent. “After an exhaustive search, I am so pleased that we have found an affordable health insurance option for our mem- bers,” said NFDA President Ken Cahall . “Our provider not only offers savings available only to NFDA mem- bers but also has dedicated experts who will help mem- bers understand their best options. Our board has been wanting to find a health insurance option for small businesses for years and is thrilled to provide this op- tion to members.” If an employer chooses to adopt a new health insur- ance plan, a personal cus- tomer service representa- tive will assist with making a smooth transition for ev- eryone. Health insurance plans and offerings vary by state, so it is important that members look at options available in their state. More information about the NFDA Health Insur- ance Options program is available online, www. nfda.org/endorsedprovid- ers. There, interested own- ers or managers can reach out to their personal cus- tomer service representa- tive and get a complimen- tary comparison of their current health insurance plan with the options avail- able in their state. Mem- bers can also call NFDA at 800-228-6332 for more information. NFDA is the world’s lead- ing and largest funeral ser- vice association, serving more than 20,000 individ- ual members who repre- sent nearly 11,000 funeral homes in the United States and 49 countries around the world. NFDA is the trusted leader, beacon for ethics and the strongest advocate for the profession.
