A 1960 graduate of the New England Institute of Mortuary Science, he joined his family’s business as a third-generation funeral director, owning and operat- ing Kelly Funeral Home un- til his death. RONALD JAMES MILLER of Vienna, OH died Novem- ber 8, 2020 at the age of 74. He was a funeral director at Augustine Funeral Home in Youngstown, OH and was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. JAMES “JIM” HAROLD MONG of Columbiana, OH died March 8, 2021 at the age of 75. A retired funeral director, he worked alongside George Seeder- ly and later Mark Beck, owning and operating Seed- erly-Mong & Beck Funeral Homes . A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. LOIS ANN SIFERD of Wapakoneta, OH died Janu- ary 30, 2021 at the age of 97. She worked alongside her husband, the late Charles D. Siferd, in owning and operating the former Siferd Funeral Home in Wapakoneta. Siferd was a member of the Ohio Funer- al Directors Association. Funeral Home under the guid- ance of the late Ed and Henry Hafer. He founded and owned Strickland Funeral Home in Clendenin during the seventies and eighties. Strickland retired from Aurora Casket Company as a sales representative. A grad- uate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a mem- ber of the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association. He was instrumental in the cre- ation of the Funeral Funding Trust of Kentucky in 1983, and served as chairman of the trust committee and FDAK Services Corporation from 1983–2012. JOE BEN TUCKER of Central City, KY died February 20, 2021 at the age of 81. A licensed funeral director for 62 years, he was the owner and operator of Tucker Fu- neral Home since 1958. Tucker was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association policy board, presi- dent of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky from owner of McMahon Funeral Home in Luxemburg and served the community as a funeral di- rector for fifty years. Rueckl re- tired in 2005. A 1963 graduate of the Wisconsin institute of Mor- tuary Science, he was a member of the Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association, Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. THOMAS J. RUECKL of Luxemburg, WI died Febru- ary 20, 2021 at the age of 80. In 1972 he became an A retired funeral director and embalmer, he worked at Harris Funeral Home in Pontiac for 25 years; Page-Theus Funer- al Home in Leesburg; Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home in Wildwood and Hamlin; Hil- bish Funeral Directors in Eus- tis; and Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors in Tavares. KEITH E. STOFFELS of Lady Lake, FL formerly of Pontiac, MI died February 24, 2021 at the age of 93. MARK STEPHEN STRICKLAND of Elkview, WV died February 24, 2021 at the age of 72. He began his career in funeral service working part-time at the Hafer Deana and Jodi, as well as his nephew, Brent Warner at the Carter-Trent Funeral Homes in Kingsport, Church Hill and Scotts County, which he owned and operated since 1991. He was a founding member of the Inde- pendent Funeral Directors Associ- ation and served on the advisory board for the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association. DEAN E. TRENT of Kingsport, TN died February 22, 2021 at the age of 85. He began his career as a funeral di- rector at Gate City Funeral Home in 1959. He worked alongside his wife, Martha, his three daughters Judy, then he expanded his career to Levelland, where he began working for SCI at George Price Funeral Home until 2012. Resch later became the location manager and funeral director in charge for Buffing- ton Funeral Homes in Gon- zales and Shriner. In 2007 he graduated from Amarillo Col- lege with degree in mortuary science. RICHARD “RICK” ALVIN RESCH of Gonzales, TX died February 15, 2021at the age of 60. A licensed fu- neral director and embalmer, he worked with Parkside Chapel Funeral Home in Hereford from 2006 to 2010, Catholic Cemetery Conference, he founded Milne Construction in Portland. After building his first community mausoleum for Rose City Cemetery, he worked with Greenwood in Brooklyn, Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum on Long Island and some of the most prominent cemeteries on the East Coast and abroad. JOHN MILNE of Portland, OR died December 21, 2020 at the age of 95. A longtime supplier member of the Community College with asso- ciates’ degrees in both applied science and mortuary science. Brown was a member of the Ver- mont Funeral Directors and Em- balmers Association, where he served on their executive board for twenty years and president for eight years. He was also a member of the National Funer- al Directors Association where he served on the policy board. ROBERT E. “BOB” BROWN of Essex Junction, VT died February 24, 2021 at the age of 63. He was em- ployed as a funeral director and embalmer from 1975 un- til 2011, serving families throughout the Vermont Cath- olic Diocese. In 1979 he graduated from Hudson Valley Heald Funeral Home, cur- rently owned by his daughters, Deborah Quinlan and Gretch- en Heald-Brooks. A graduate of the New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science and Embalming in Boston, he was a member of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. JAMES E. HEALD of Milford, NH died January 16, 2021 at the age of 89.
