Each year, the Foundation awards academic scholar- ships ranging from $2,500-$5,000 to students attend- ing and actively engaged in coursework in funeral service education programs at American Board of Funeral Ser- vice Education (ABSFE) and Canadian-accredited insti- tutions. Awarded in two cycles and paid directly to insti- tutions, the scholarships offset the costs associated with tuition, fees, books and supplies. “Supporting the next generation of resilient, adaptable and compassionate leaders is central to our mission of in- vesting in people and programs to strengthen funeral ser- vice and lift up grieving communities,” said Foundation executive director, Lee Wiensch, CFRE.
