In 1925, B. Abbott Meech joined Fairchild in the firm. After World War II, Abbott’s son Donald Meech became involved in the funeral home. The family business is operated today by Brad- ley A. Meech , grandson of B. Abbott and son of Don- ald, along with the current owner, Mark C. Bentz . Bradley is a graduate of the Simmons Institute of Funeral Service. His wife, Deborah , also assists in the administration of the funeral home. Terry D. Wheat has been a funeral director with Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel for over 40 years. Both he and funeral director Mark C. Bentz are also graduates of Simmons Institute.
