Patrick Halvey Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey Celebrates New Facility Continued from Front Page “We are excited to wel- come the Beacon com- munity to our new River- view location,” said Patrick Halvey, president of Riv- erview Funeral Home by Halvey. “Moving from 24 Willow Street to 2 Beekman Street gives us the opportu- nity to provide the Beacon community with a modern, spacious and beautiful facil- ity to serve families in their time of need.” Attendees enjoyed tours of the new facility, beauti- ful Hudson River views and spirits, beer and food from local Beacon merchants. Vendors represented in- cluded Drink More Good, Dennings Point Distillery, Hudson Valley Brewery, 2 Way Brewing Company, Bank Square Coffee, Trax Expresso & Coffee Roast- ers, Max’s on Main, Glazed Over, Mr. V’s Deli and Mr. Mozz Gourmet Food Products. Raffles for gift certificates to Cafe Amar- cord, the Roundhouse & Dogwood restaurants also ran throughout the event. “The Halveys’ have creat- ed an extraordinary funeral home, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the majestic Hudson River, to serve families in their time of need,” said Beacon archi- tect and designer of the fa- cility, Aryeh Siegel. In addi- tion to Siegel, the Halvey’s employed over twelve Bea- con contractors to com- plete the construction of the building. Riverview by Halvey Funeral Home also commissioned a special painting of the view from Beacon’s Long Dock Park from local artist, Russ Cu- sick to hang in the entryway of the building. The funeral home, now one of the largest in New York’s Hudson Valley, has been fully rebuilt with a substantial patio, two spa- cious service rooms and endless views of the Hud- son River. While main- taining a classic traditional style cohesive with the ex- isting neighborhood, the new facility is a modern, 100 percent handicap ac- cessible building with plen- ty of onsite parking. The fu- neral home also employees Zoey Halvey, a Goldendoo- dle dog as their community outreach manager. Since 1933, family owned and operated Riverview Continued on Page A18
