A 1974 graduate of the Worsham College of Mortuary Science, he served his apprentice- ship at Reigle Funeral Homes. Allen worked alongside his wife, Margaret in owning and oper- ating the Allen Funeral Home from 1987 until his retirement in 2009. The business was sold to his sons, Eric and Paul. FLEMUEL BROWN JR of West Philadelphia, PA died De- cember 24, 2020 at the age of 93. A funeral director for 63 years, he owned and operated the Flemuel Brown, Jr Funer- al Home, which he established alongside his wife, the late Mary Rebecca Walker. He graduated from the H. E. Dolan College of Embalming. JOHN “JACK” FRANCIS FOLEY of Yorktown, NY died December 18, 2020 at the age of 83. A licensed funeral direc- tor, he was employed at Riv- erside Memorial Chapels in New York and Westchester until his retirement in January 2000. He graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute. DUNCANW. MUNRO of Worcester, formerly of North- borough, MA died December 26, 2020 at the age of 94. He served as the superintendent for Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge from 1966 until 1989. He was a member of the Massachusetts Cemetery Association, New England Cemetery Association and was past president of the American Cemetery Association, now the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association . Munro co- chaired the first International Cemetery Conference. ROBERT “BOB” WILLIAM NINKER of Chesterfield, MO died January 9, 2021 at the age of 87. Prior to retire- ment, he was employed as the executive director of the Illi- nois Funeral Directors Associa- tion for 29 years. THADDEUS W. “BUD” WILDE of Parkesburg, PA died December 17, 2020 at the age of 89. A 1953 graduate of the Eckels College of Mortuary Science, he was a fourth-gener- ation funeral director at Wilde Funeral Home. JOHN WUESTEFELD of Dover, IN died December 29, 2020 at the age of 75. He joined his mother, Edith An- dres Wuestefeld as a fourth- generation funeral director at the present Andres-Wueste- feld Funeral Home. John ac- quired ownership of the firm after the death of his mother in 1979. He graduated from mortuary college in 1962. MARVIN WILMAR ZUCKER of East Jordan and formerly of Frankenmuth, MI died December 22, 2020 at the age of 80. A licensed funeral director for over fifty-five years, he worked at Cederberg Funeral Home in Saginaw, and in 1970, he became part owner and manager of Cederberg-Zucker Funeral Home in Frankenmuth. In 1991 Zucker went to work for Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. KENNETH R. “SNAKE” HOWELL of Weirton, WV died December 23, 2020 at the age of 84. A fu- death in 1972. ELDEN E. BJURLING of Gardner, MA died January 2, 2021 at the age of 70. He was president and owner of the Smith Funeral Home in Gardner until 2007, follow- ing his father who owned the funeral home up until his ners together and shared owner- ship of Filbeck-Cann. After al- most thirty years of dedication to the funeral profession, Jerry and his wife became sole own- ers. A 1960 graduate of the Ken- tucky School of Mortuary Science, he served as the coroner of Mar- shall County, president of the West Kentucky Funeral Directors Association and was a member of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Burial Association Board. JERRY BENNETT of Benton, KY died December 10, 2020 at the age of 82. He served his apprenticeship at O’Neil Funeral Home in Corbin before joining the Fil- beck-Cann Funeral Home as a licensed funeral direc- tor. BEULAH MCCLINTON WOODY of Roselle, NJ died December 9, 2020 at the age of 61. She served her apprenticeship at G. G. Woody Funeral Home, LLC under the guidance of George G. Woody, Jr and the late William “Mike” Franklin. Woody served the funeral home for over 35 years as a manager and fu- neral director. A graduate of the American Academy College of Mortuary Science and the Renuad’s Training School for Embalmers. He served as the chief coroner for Green County since 1998, was a member of the New York State Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners, New York State Funeral Directors Associa- tion, Capital District Funeral Di- rectors Association and was past president of the Columbia Green Funeral Directors Association. RICHARD E. VIGILO of Cairo, NY formerly of Scars- dale, NY died January 10, 2020 at the age of 83. He was co-owner of the Richards Funeral Home of the Mid- Hudson Valley, Inc located in Cairo and Athens, and the W. C. Brady’s Son Inc Funeral Home in Coxsackie. Vi- gilo was the former owner of the Valenti and Richards Funeral Home in Hudson, was former vice president of Ambulance Service and was the owner and operator of Richards Ambulance Service. He attended the Eckels 75. He was the owner and op- erator of Schleifer Funer- al Chapel Inc. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mor- tuary Science, he did graduate work as a reading specialist at the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of the Allegheny County, Steel Valley and Penn- sylvania Funeral Directors Asso- ciations. THEODORE J. “TED” SCHLEIFER III of North Braddock, PA died December 22, 2020 at the age of as senior director. A 1963 grad- uate of the McAllister School of Embalming, he was a member of the National Funeral Director’s and Morticians Association, Na- tional Funeral Directors Associa- tion, New Jersey State Funeral Di- rectors association, Passaic County Funeral Directors Association and the Garden State Funeral Direc- tors Association. CARNIE P. BRAGG JR of Paterson, NJ died Decem- ber 29, 2020 at the age of 81. He worked alongside his father, Carnie P. Bragg Sr., at the Carnie P. Bragg Fu- neral Homes Inc as a second-generation funeral direc- tor. Following the death of his father in 1972, Bragg ac- quired ownership of the firm and continued to operate it several funeral homes before es- tablishing the Lomax Funeral Home in 1989. A 1976 gradu- ate of the Dallas Institute of Mor- tuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inde- pendent Funeral Directors of Texas Inc, Dallas Local Funeral Direc- tor Association, Pi Sigma Eta Fra- ternity, and the Funeral Service Practitioners Association. OLIVER WENDELL LOMAX of Dallas, TX died December 27, 2020 at the age of 73. A funeral direc- tor for over forty years, he served his apprenticeship at the Black and Clark Funeral Home. Lomax worked at neral Home. He continued his service to his community with the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home for many years. A 1951 graduate of the Pitts- burgh Institute of Mortuary Sci- ence, he was a member of the Ohio Embalmers Association and received his 50 years of service pin from the Ohio Funeral Di- rectors Association. DANIEL N. MACLEAN of Wellsville, OH died De- cember 26, 2020 at the age of 91.
