Poul Lenasters professional career covers both funeral service and law. He attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1996. While working in deathcare, he went on to attend Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law, graduating in 2003. Poul has worked in the funeral profession for over 25 years and holds a funeral director’s license and embalmer’s license in several states. His deathcare experience includes managing both small and large funeral homes; and working with both indepen- dent and corporately owned funeral homes, ceme- teries, and crematories. He remains active in local, state, and national funeral and cemetery associa- tions. As an attorney, Poul is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia. While his law practice began in the area of civil defense work, he quickly began a focus in deathcare serving as Cor- porate Counsel for one of the largest publicly held funeral providers where he advised on various funeral home, cemetery, crematory issues. Poul now operates and is principal of Lemasters Con- sulting , located in Cincinnati, Ohio, a consulting busi- ness entirely for the deathcare profession, which includes funeral homes, funeral directors/embalmers, cemeteries, cemeterains, cremationists, crematory owners, as well as the suppliers to all of them. He assists in areas of le- gal, compliance, regulatory, and operational issues. Poul also serves in various roles with national groups such as: General Counsel for International Cemetery, Crematory and Funeral Association; Legal Counsel for the National Concrete Burial Vault Association; and Legal Advisor to the Catholic Cemetery Conference.
