SCI matched individual donations to TAPS dollar for dollar up to $25,000. Funds raised will provide 250 survivors of a mili- tary or veteran loss with support and grief resourc- es at no cost for one year. “SCI has a long-stand- ing commitment to vet- erans and veteran fami- lies through a number of programs that assist those who have faithfully served our country,” said Eric Tanzberger , SCI senior vice president and chief financial officer. “We thank the communities we serve throughout the United States for joining us on Giving Tuesday to help support those who have lost a military or a veteran loved one.” Giving Tuesday, De- cember 1, is a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. As a national nonprofit, TAPS provides comfort, care and resources to all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one. Since 1994, TAPS has provided sup- port and hope around the clock through a na- tional peer support net- work, grief counseling services, support groups, youth programs and print resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. SCI Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend SCI announced that its Board of Directors has ap- proved an increase in its quarterly cash dividend to twenty-one cents per share of common stock. This quarterly cash divi- dend represents a 10.5% increase from the previ- ously declared quarter- ly dividend of nineteen cents per share of com- mon stock per quarter. At September 30, 2020, SCI owned and operated 1,470 funeral service lo- cations and 483 ceme- teries (of which 296 are combination locations) in 44 states, eight Cana- dian provinces, the Dis- trict of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
